Your insurance coverage begins once you’ve completed these three easy steps:

  1. Signed and submitted your lease or rental agreement
  2. Completed your self-storage tenant insurance enrollment form
  3. Paid your first premium payment

Once all three steps are complete, you will receive your certificate of insurance.

Yes, there is a $100 deductible. All approved claims must exceed the $100 deductible to be issued a settlement check.

No, but please note that self-storage facilities are not responsible for your belongings while in a storage unit or space. In the event your self-storage lease or rental agreement requires that you have coverage for your stored belongings, and you do not wish to elect Xercor insurance, you must provide evidence of coverage to your facility. We advise checking with your insurance agent to ensure you do not have duplicate coverage through your homeowners, renters or other type of insurance.

Your storage unit insurance coverage ends when your rental agreement is terminated, you fail to submit your premium payment, or upon your request to terminate coverage with evidence of alternative coverage.
